1. Above all else, NO POWERPLAY (PP) OR GODMODING (GM).
Powerplay means that you force something to happen to someone else. An example would be like this: "Vera landed a sweet roundhouse kick to Brun's jaw, causing him to black out and collapse." NO. Not only is this unfair to the other roleplayers, it is also very bad form. Instead, you should write something more like this: "Vera aimed a sweet roundhouse kick at Brun's jaw," and let the other person decide if it affects him or not. HOWEVER, powerplay also includes consistently and continually avoiding injury to your character! Remember, no one can come out unscathed every single time! This overlaps into the second term, Godmoding. Godmoding means giving your character incredibly unbelievable skills or powers, like making them able to run at speeds over 100 MPH or being able to survive nuclear explosions. Please, even though this is a sci-fi forum, try to make your characters believable. If we see any excessively supernatural behaviour going on, we WILL correct it. Just try to be fair to everyone else.
2. After joining the forum, post your character profiles.
You can create almost any anthro character you want, so have fun with it! You need to provide descriptions of your characters before you start playing, however, so everyone can know what they look like, etc.
3. Please, no swearing.
We can take the occasional cr*p or dang, but please, this is supposed to be a fun site for kids, teens and adults alike. Keep the language PG or better. There are better ways to express yourself.
4. Keep violent content to a minimum.
Yes, we know, there's a war on. However, just as it says above, we want this to be a kid-friendly environment. Nothing above a PG-13 level, please. Excessive blood and/or abuse will not be tolerated. If we think you are taking things too far, we'll let you know.
5. Absolutely NO sexual content.
We have a zero-tolerance policy in regards to this. If two characters are "mates", however, they can raise a family--but please, spare us the steamy details!
6. No flaming, bashing or ad hominems.
Basically, don't be harsh on people or attack them verbally if you think their writing skills are less-than-stellar! We want to give everyone a chance at learning how to roleplay here.
7. Please ask before you enter someone's roleplay thread.
Don't just jump right into a story without asking the original writer first. It's bad manners.
Violation of any of these rules will result in a warning. Repeat violations may result in a temporary suspension or being permanently banned from the forum. If you are ever unsure about a rule, please ask a staff member for help.
