Fowr looks like a beautiful, calm place to be. Let's check it out...
Geography/Climate
To understand Fowr's slightly freaky geography, you have to understand that the core of the planet is an energized liquid. This liquid spawns crystals, which form the "bedrock" of the planet. These crystals are constantly growing or being dissolved by erosion. Some massive crystals have pushed straight up through the surface, forming large plateaus and mountain ranges.
The rest of the planet's surface is flat. The soil is a powdery blue. Only a few noticeable forms of plant life can be found here. The first is a kind of large moss or short shrub, light blueish-purple in color, which forms a springy ground cover over much of the surface. Its curly stems and branches allow a trampoline-like way for you to travel! The second is a tree that has a fat trunk and five main branches at the top, which form a star. The trunk feels like rubber and is mostly transparent. The flesh of the tree is edible, and has a light vegetable flavor. The third most prominent plant is a flowering vine which grows on the planet's cliffs. The vine is light aquamarine and sparkles in the light. The blossoms are six-petaled and appear to be made of crystal, though they shatter at the slightest touch. They bear tiny, gem-like fruits. Almost all of the plants draw their energy from the planet's core liquid, resulting in a phosphorescent glow visible at night.
Temperatures on Fowr hover around 60-75*F during the day and can drop to 50*F at night. Rains are infrequent, since there are no oceans, only lakes and a few minor rivers. (Keep in mind that the "water" here is an energized liquid of some kind... standing in this rain might give you a boost when you need it, but it might also kill you!)
Creatures
There are only two creatures living on Fowr: the Koozles and the Quadrix.
The Koozles are creepy little fluff monsters that resemble dust bunnies, only with huge eyes. About the size of a rabbit, Koozles appear to be nothing but fuzz. They float about on Fowr, grazing on the mosses and trying to seduce people into thinking they're cute. Not. If they succeed, they glom onto their victim and never let go, driving them crazy. The only way to get rid of one is to shine light directly in its eyes. (Warning: they let out a high-pitched scream and then explode.) None have ever been observed to sleep.
The Quadrix, thankfully, are far more civilized. This bright blue anthro species is a kind of genetically-altered dog, having four arms and four ears. Two of the ears are alsatian (like a German shepherd's), and two of the ears are lopped (like a beagle's). Their eyes are large, almond-shaped, and highly reflective. The pupils are shimmery white, giving them a very alien appearance. Their four arms allow them to climb with ease to their cliffside homes. Most live in crystal caverns along these cliffs, and hardly any live above the ground.
The Quadrix have learned to mine and process the energy crystals, called Fowra, giving them extremely advanced technology. Most of the weapons on the other planets are powered by Fowra. Many of them work in the mines, harvesting the crystals for export to the other planets. Once the energy of the Fowra is used up, the resulting liquid is sent back to Fowr to be regrown into more crystals. Fowra crystals also act as Fowr's currency, with whole crystals acting as dollars and crystal slices acting as coins.
Names among the Quadrix species tend to end in "ix", as in "Jothix" and "Garix".
Other Info
The other planets, especially Wunn, treat Fowr solely as an energy provider and tend to look down on the Quadrix as a society. The Quadrix, being highly advanced and even aristocratic, resent this. Their answer to this problem is to try to get an upper hand in interplanetary politics, sometimes using blackmail or even assassination to get what they want. Of course, this tends to make things worse than they are, but as long as they're happy for the moment, they're fine with it. Secrets and cover-ups abound.
