If you have a question, please read this first. I have written here all the questions that will most likely be asked, so your answer is probably here. If it isn't, then feel free to post another question. I will add to this if I see enough of the same question being asked repeatedly. This will hopefully save everyone some time. Good luck!
Q: What is role playing/How do I role play?
A: Role playing (RP) is, at its root, writing a story with another person. You write about your character in such a way that they can interact with the other person's character. There are many online guides on how to role play forum-style, so do a search. If you need help with your writing, just ask me or someone else via PM.
Q: Why can't I post?
A: You are either a guest or you are not logged in. Please register and/or log in before you try to post on the forum. This is the way we keep spammers from trashing the boards.
Q: It still won't let me post!
A: You need to activate your account. Check your e-mail.
Q: Can I post an image of my character/How...?
A: Yes, you can post an image, as long as it follows basic Proboards rules and is decent. To post an image, you need to have the image URL (its individual web address). You can upload your image to a website like Photobucket for free, which gives you the URL. When you have that, click on the little button above your post that looks like a picture and says "Insert Image". Paste the image URL inside those tags, and the picture will be there when you post.
Q: Can I be a Beta/Gamma?
A: A Beta is basically a forum moderator. Right now, meepitgerbil (my sister) is the only Beta because I trust her with the power. You have to earn my trust before becoming a Beta, or even a Gamma. A Gamma is a board moderator with fewer powers, but still pretty high up there. Show me you're worthy, and I'll give you the title.
Q: What is Karma/How do I get Karma?
A: Karma points are something just for fun. They're more like brownie points. People can give you karma if you do something good, and they can take your karma if they don't like you. If you feel like you've been injustly robbed of karma points, don't worry about it. It's just for hoots.
Q: Why do the planets have numbers and no real names?
A: Because I'm lazy. No, really. I can't come up with decent names, so I just named them phoenetically by number.
Q: Where did you get the name Jerahn?
A: I don't know.
Q: Is there a book about Jerahn?
A: No, but I might write one.
Q: Can you draw me a picture of my character?
A: Depending on how busy I am, maybe. I'm a fairly good artist, but I'll need some kind of visual and/or text reference so I can do an accurate drawing. If I'm too busy, please don't beg.
Q: What is powerplaying/Godmoding?
A: PP and GM are both against-the-rules forms of role playing. They are when you force things to happen to the other person, like injuries or captures. Check the rules to make sure you aren't using PP or GM.
Q: Why have I been warned/banned/etc.? I didn't do anything!
A: If you are warned, banned, or receive any other form of discipline, it is for a good reason. You have been directly observed breaking the rules and deserve some kind of punishment, for the safety of everyone. These incidents are thoroughly investigated, so there are no mistakes. Don't whine about it.
